1. About Roblading

Roblading is a sole trader business operating in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. We deliver school-based rollerblading programs as part of OSHC (Outside School Hours Care) activities for children aged 5 to 10.

By enrolling a child in any Roblading program, session, or event, the parent or guardian agrees to these Terms and Conditions in full.

2. Participation Requirements

  • Programs are designed for children aged 5 to 10 years old.
  • A parent or legal guardian must complete the enrolment form on behalf of the child.
  • The parent or guardian must disclose any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations at the time of enrolment.
  • Roblading reserves the right to refuse or discontinue participation if it is determined that participation poses a risk to the child or others.

3. Protective Equipment

The safety of all participants is our highest priority. The following rules apply to all Roblading sessions:

  • Wearing appropriate protective equipment is mandatory for all participants at all times during skating activities.
  • The minimum required equipment is: a properly fitted and certified helmet , knee pads, elbow pads , and wrist guards.
  • If not renting equipment from Roblading, it is the parent or guardian's responsibility to provide suitable, well-fitting protective equipment for their child.
  • Roblading instructors reserve the right to exclude a student from participating if their equipment is deemed unsuitable or insufficient for safe participation.
  • Roblading may have limited loan equipment available on a first-come, first-served basis but cannot guarantee availability.

4. Risk Acknowledgment & Limitation of Liability

Rollerblading is a physical activity that carries an inherent risk of falls, minor injuries, and accidents. By enrolling a child in a Roblading program, the parent or guardian acknowledges and accepts these inherent risks.

Roblading takes all reasonable precautions to ensure participant safety, including proper instructor supervision, mandatory protective equipment, and progressive skill-based teaching. However, to the maximum extent permitted by Australian law:

  • Roblading will not be held liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in its programs, except where caused by the negligence or wilful misconduct of Roblading.
  • Roblading will not be held liable for any loss or damage to personal property (including skates or protective gear) brought to sessions.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by agreement.

5. Photography & Media

Roblading may photograph or video record sessions for use on its website, social media channels, and promotional materials.

By ticking the photography consent checkbox during enrolment, the parent or guardian grants Roblading permission to use images or videos in which their child may appear for the purposes described above.

This consent is optional and can be withdrawn at any time by contacting us at roblading@hotmail.com . Withdrawal of consent does not affect any use of images already published prior to the request.

6. Privacy Policy

6.1 What we collect

When you enrol through our website, we collect the following personal information:

  • Parent or guardian name, email address, and phone number
  • Child's name, age, school, and skating level
  • Medical conditions or allergies relevant to physical participation
  • Equipment and shoe size (if rental is requested)
  • Consent preferences (photography, communications)

6.2 How we use your information

We use the information collected to:

  • Process your child's enrolment and manage their participation
  • Contact you regarding classes, schedule changes, and program updates
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of your child during sessions
  • Send news and updates if you have opted in to communications

6.3 Data storage & security

Enrolment data is stored securely in Airtable, a third-party platform with industry-standard security practices. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except as required by law.

6.4 Your rights

6.5 Cookies & analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our site. This service may collect anonymised data such as pages visited, time on site, and general location. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics. You can opt out via your browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out tool .

7. Electronic Communications

By opting in to communications during enrolment, you agree to receive class updates, reminders, and news from Roblading via email or SMS. You may unsubscribe at any time by contacting us at roblading@hotmail.com .

8. Changes to These Terms

Roblading reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be available at roblading.com.au/terms . Continued participation following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
